Advanced First Aid

Description

In this advanced 80-hour course, students will gain the knowledge and skills to provide proper assessment and care of ill and injured patients. Emergency Care for Professional Responders text is used in conjunction with scenarios and skill-based activities. This ensures students gain the skills and knowledge necessary to not only be successful in the course, but more importantly, prepared for any workplace emergency.

Intermediate (Standard) First Aid CPR level C is a prerequisite for this course. Completion requires successful demonstration on a written exam as well as two evaluated scenarios. One medical and one trauma.
