This course is designed for people without medical training but who want to learn how to rescue someone experiencing cardiac arrest. I will teach you how to recognize a cardiac emergency and ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.
This is a foundational course for healthcare professionals and trained first responders that will teach the skills of high-quality CPR for patients of all ages. It will enable you to react quickly and confidently in an emergency.
This is a one-day course that teaches students how to provide basic emergency care to ill or injured individuals. It is best suited for lay rescuers or employees who are required to have eight hours or less of emergency first aid.
This course meets provincial workplace regulatory requirements. It will teach you the skills to respond effectively to traumatic or medical emergencies in the workplace, home, or any other place you happen to be. It is for anyone who wants to be prepared for the unexpected.
This is an 80+ hour course designed for advanced workplace first aid attendants, firefighters, law enforcement personnel, and emergency medical services personnel. It can also be taken by those who just want an in-depth understanding of first aid. The prerequisite is the Intermediate (Standard) program.
In this one- to two-hour course, you will be taught how to identify when a patient needs supplemental oxygen and deliver it safely and efficiently using the appropriate delivery device.
In this two-day course, participants will spend the first day doing theory. During the second day, two or more students at a time will suit up and go into the water to practice what they have learned. It is a fun and valuable course for anyone who lives or works around water in the fall, winter, or spring when the risk of falling through the ice is greatest. This course is only available when there is thin ice on the area lakes.
Emergencies can happen anywhere at anytime and the peace of mind you will get knowing there are trained and experienced individuals at your event will be invaluable. At minimum there are two first aiders provided, trained to the Advanced First Aid level, along with all equipment and supplies needed to provide care to someone who is injured or ill.
